Delight is a personal finance app that helps you manage your money through smart budgeting, spending controls, and automated payments. It's designed to help you build better financial habits and stay on track with your money goals.
Is Delight a bank?
No, Delight is not a bank or financial institution. We partner with Sterling Bank (via Embedly) to securely hold your funds. Your money is held by a licensed bank, while Delight provides the tools to manage it effectively.
Is Delight free to use?
Yes, downloading and using Delight is free. However, certain transactions may attract fees (like bank transfers) and some optional features may have associated charges. All fees are clearly displayed before you confirm any transaction.
How is my account secured?
Delight uses multiple security layers: secure login with your phone number and password, optional biometric authentication (Face ID/fingerprint), a separate transaction PIN for payments, and encryption for all data transmission and storage.
What is a budget in Delight?
A budget is a dedicated pool of money set aside for specific spending. You can create budgets for different purposes (like groceries, transport, or entertainment) and control how and when the money is spent. In Delight, all spending and withdrawals happen from budgets, not directly from your main wallet.
What are automated payments?
Automated payments let you schedule recurring or future transactions. You can automate bill payments, bank transfers, or transfers to other Delight users on a schedule you define.
Who can use Delight?
Delight is available to anyone who is at least 18 years old and has a valid Nigerian Bank Verification Number (BVN) or National Identification Number (NIN).
How do I create an account?
Download Delight from the App Store or Google Play, then follow the registration process. You'll need to provide your phone number, email address, and complete identity verification using your BVN or NIN.
What bills can I pay through Delight?
You can pay for airtime (MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9Mobile), data bundles, TV subscriptions (DSTV, GOTV, Startimes), electricity (prepaid and postpaid), internet services (Spectranet, Smile), and streaming services (Showmax).
